..: JRA - Joint Research Activity

Within the ITS LEIF project, 6 different joint research activities have been defined ; four of them (JRA1 to JRA4) concern the technical development of instrumentation. The two others (JRA5-JRA6) aim to test and apply these developments .

- JRA1: sources for complex ions

- JRA2: high-quality atomic ion beams

- JRA3: electrostatic rings and traps

- JRA4: production and characterisation of gas phase biomolecular targets

- JRA5: biomolecular fragmentation (radiation damage)

- JRA6: slow ion induced nanostructuring of surfaces and thin films
